This cake was done for my friend Taryn's 25th birthday party. I keep looking at it doing "wow..I did that"..I think sometimes we forget to give ourselves a pat on the back for things well done!
So I had some challenges with this cake. For the most part cake decorating is challenging and it usually doesn't go according to the plan you laid out when you started, but I love it, and it's rewarding. First problem with the cake, it decided it wanted to crumble and break, and the icing just kept taking off more of the cake..funnn. This is because it was wasn't cold enough, but I didn't have time to chill or freeze it, and i've done this before without this much drama. Second I broke like 3 icing bags while making the roses..and finally my flower nail dropped and broke in two, with 6 roses left to do...have you trieddd to do a rose without a flower nail..fricking hard!!!
But it's all over now, and i'm going to soak my hands and then add some writing.
